Configuration of NetBeans
You will find the zip file netbeans-stuff.zip on the download page under NetBeans
integration. Open it (or unpack it) and copy the directories
FormDesignerPalette and Templates into the
configuration directory of NetBeans
(/.netbeans/7.2/config
or similar). Make sure that NetBeans is not running!
Now start NetBeans and create a new project (e.g. myapplets) in
the following way:
- Open New Project... from the File menu.
- Select Java/Java Application and confirm with Next
>.
- Define the Project Name (e.g. myapplets) and the
Project Location (e.g. C:\physbeans).
- Deselect Create Main Class and confirm with Finish.
In the Projects window on the left hand side you can see a tree
representation of the project. If necessary open it by double clicking on
the
symbol.
Now add PhysBeans as a new library:
- Open the context menu of the Libraries entry (by
right-clicking on it) and choose Add Library....
- Click Create, set the Library Name to
PhysBeans and confirm with Ok.
- Choose Add JAR/Folder..., navigate to your local copy of the
library file physbeans.jar (e.g. at C:\physbeans or
/physbeans), select
it and confirm three times.
You can now create your own applets using the PhysBeans library.
