Changes in the PhysBeans Sources

The first published version was the Release from 2004-07-12, now simply called "Release 1.0". The following describes major changes between the releases.

Changes from 1.5 to 1.6

• new release due to internal project changes
• 6 new applets from mechanics
• 2 new applets from nonlinear and waves
• new beans for mechanical systems and corresponding views
• list of changed files

Changes from 1.4 to 1.5

• 17 new applets from quantum mechanics
• 16 new applets from different areas (mainly mechanics and linear oscillations)
• new beans for quantum mechanical systems and corresponding views
• new beans for special polynomials and complex functions
• some beans for special mechanical systems

Changes from 1.3 to 1.4

• 19 new applets from all areas
• new beans for multidimensional linear oscillators, including mode analysis, special views, controls and editors
• new beans for interpolation functions
• new physics beans for a mass point in one dimensions, a Duffing oscillator and a parabolic mirror
• reorganisation of physbeans packages completed
• list of changed files

Changes from 1.2 to 1.3

• new beans for wave phenomena (wave tank, wave sources, walls, media, modes) and a generic view
• 23 new applets for simulation of waves
• new beans that use a parser to define functions via parameter strings
• redesign of oscilloscope beans to allow for moving markers
• reorganisation of physbeans packages (just beginning)

Changes from 1.1 to 1.2

• new beans for optics (light sources, optical elements) and their views
• 19 new applets for optics simulations
• reorganisation of applet classes into packages according to physics topic
• some views have been changed to use Graphics 2D and moved to physbeans.views

Changes from 1.0 to 1.1

• new beans for thermodynamical systems, including some corresponding views.
• 15 new applets for thermodynamical simulations.
• ODEs have been incorporated into physical model beans.
• Internationalisation is now done with property files.
• The GenericFunction hierarchy has been simplified a bit.
