A Java SDK is part of Mac OS X. You can get the latest version from Apple's Java pages.
You will find the NetBeans package netbeans-5_5-macosx.tar.gz on the CD in the directory mac. After the installation you will find the directories for the user-specific part of the NetBeans configuration at /Users/username/.netbeans.
Now proceed with the configuration of NetBeans.
